5 Days from Marrakech to Chefchaouen:

 This Tour Starts from Marrakech to Chefchaouen, and is one of the most unforgettable journeys in Morocco, combining history, culture, mountains, desert, and the charm of the Blue Pearl. This itinerary takes you from the vibrant streets of Marrakech through kasbahs, valleys, the Sahara Desert, the cultural capital of Fes, and finally to the iconic blue medina of Chefchaouen.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

We start our tour at 7:00 AM from your hotel in Marrakech towards Chefchaouen. We drive through the High Atlas Mountains (2,260 m) with several stops for photos. The main stop will be at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location for movies like Gladiator, Son of God, and Game of Thrones.

After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate to explore the Taourirt Kasbah and the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. We then pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M’Gouna and Boumalne Dades, where we spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Erg Chebbi Desert via Todra Gorge

After breakfast in Boumalne Dades, we head to Merzouga, passing through the Berber village of Tinghir and the Todra Gorge, where the canyons dominate the skyline. Along the route, we stop for lunch at either Tinjdad or Rissani, in the Tafilalet region, known for its Berber pizza.

After lunch, we continue to Merzouga for the camel trek. You’ll have a short rest with tea, and your luggage will be stored safely at the hotel. The 90-minute camel ride takes you to a Nomadic desert camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of a chain of tents equipped with mattresses and linen, a restaurant, kitchen, and toilet. In the evening, enjoy dinner and traditional entertainment around the campfire

Day 3: Erg Chebbi Desert – Fez

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, then ride back by camel to your hotel. After shower and breakfast, we depart Erg Chebbi heading north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains to Fez. Along the way, we stop frequently to admire the rocky mountains and plains.

We also pause in Azrrou to see Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat within the cedar forest. Arrive in Fez and check in at your riad.

Day 4: Fez – Chefchaouen (Blue City)

We drive north through the Rif Mountains to reach the medina of Chefchaouen, a charming blue-painted town set against the mountains. The evening is dedicated to exploring the beautiful streets of the medina, famous for its blue-tinted houses and cobbled streets, offering excellent photographic opportunities, and spending the night in a riad.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Marrakech (or any city)

After breakfast in the riad, we start the journey towards Volubilis, a unique archaeological site featuring Roman ruins. We then continue through Wazan and other Rif villages to Meknes, an imperial city from the 17th century, where we admire the historic medina walls and Bab El Mansour gate.
